There is this old and rusting Chevy truck on a farm road just off Route 29 south of Charlottesville, Virginia. We visit it and photograph it each time we are down there. We met the owner this time who told us that it was her father’s and she remembers it running and being used his entire life.
My best research shows it to be from around 1948 to 1951, a youngster as far as I’m concerned. Each season brings another round of ‘improvements’ to its look, although at this point it may not have too many seasons left. Hmm…a heavy dose of self introspective musing in my 64th year? I wonder how old I am in car years…
